The Slovenian firm, founded in 2020 by Tim Lep. Senior-led execution on every mandate in Slovenia and the Adriatic region — sell-side, buy-side, and capital advisory, typically on transactions of €5–250m enterprise value.
We operate under the InterCapital name — the SEE region's leading independent investment banking group since 2001, headquartered in Zagreb, with 75+ professionals across investment banking, brokerage & trading, asset management, and the region's largest capital-markets research team.
Through InterCapital's membership of Mergers Alliance, every mandate has global reach. In 2025 the partnership completed 123 deals worth $6.3bn — 35% of them cross-border — and ranked #1 among international M&A partnerships worldwide by deal value in the LSEG Mid-Market League Tables (deals under $500m), ahead of the next-ranked international partnerships.
Leadership
Tim is InterCapital's Investment Banking Partner for Slovenia and the founder of Lep Elevate Partners. Over 9+ years in investment banking and corporate finance, he has advised on 17 M&A transactions worth more than €500 million.
Before founding the firm in 2020, Tim was an M&A advisor at UniCredit Group, where he advised on landmark Slovenian transactions — including the €245m acquisition of Adriatic Slovenica by Generali and the €63.2m sale of Gorenjska Banka —. He subsequently spent two years as Head of Corporate Development at Batagel Group, sitting on the client's side of the table.
His transaction experience spans financial services, healthcare and life sciences, telecommunications, industrials, and consumer — frequently cross-border, with international acquirers including Generali (Italy), S&T AG (Austria), AIK Banka (Serbia), and ANJAC (France). Through InterCapital and the Mergers Alliance network, he connects Slovenian owners with strategic and financial buyers across Europe and beyond.
